If the rumor is true that this guy is legit mentally nothing will happen to him. White, black and every shade in between, it doesn't matter. Knew of a guy who attempted to strangle a lawyer while in court for something else. He was 'in the system' and really nothing happened to him. If you pile up enough charges or attack someone important you might get thrown in a forensic unit though.
