But this whole denial of the right to freely exercise one's religion, the punishing of pastors and parishioners—in direct flagrant violation of the first right guaranteed in the Bill of Rights—WHILE LEAVING MOSQUES COMPLETELY ALONE—chills me to the bone.
I want a tidal wave of continent-sized lawsuits over the aggressive state suppression of the right to free worship to rampage through state houses and police departments like a viral contagion. Even better would be for the perpetrators to be forced to serve time behind bars for their crimes, to lose THEIR freedom for a change. Bet they'd never do this shit again.
