Shouldn't POTUS be trumpeting this everywhere?

And if no lockdowns were needed, then certainly no "phases of reopening" are needed.

Now that the Blue State Governor’s have the power they will not back down. Trump needs to come out with an address to the nation and say every state can open up. No more phases. Get back to work. Then I think all small businesses and the people will reopen and tell their state government to stuff it. People have had enough of this.

POTUS has (wisely) gone with the current and subverted the opposition instead of trying to fight incessant fear-mongering with logic. He can't just do a 180 turn now.

It is lunacy, and I am sick of it too, but the game plan is kind of like an enema. We gotta hold it in a little longer if it's going to flush all the real bad stuff out.

That’s a really good point.

There is a great revealing happening right now.

Stay patient. The tides take time to turn and losing patience leads to losing the election. Trust that the timing and political calculations are being considered - has this man let us down in any major ways yet?

They'd have to admit their mistakes which will never happen.

My dad had a saying when we were growing up and it was this:

Scholars in medieval times were arguing over how many angels fit onto the head of a pin

Scholars today argue about the same sorts,of things, but they don’t know it

So true Papa

Cherish your Dad, for he is well read.

That post gave me a chuckle and brought me back to 1998 when we were discussing and laughing at this very fact in Senior Year Theology Class in a very very Catholic High School. Our Teacher was an ex-priest, former boxing professional, get off my lawn kind of badass that loved fucking with the young female teachers that feigned piety at a very Karen-esque level.

The answer is: If they are not real, any number of them; if real, none.

If Trump goes on air and gives a directive to start opening the country up, the lying dog-faced pony soldier Lamestream Xinese media will use every “Covid-related death” including those by gunshot wounds - to blame Trump.

Aren't they already doing that anyway?

Aaaaaand, we have the backpedaling.

Well, if everything goes right the lefties won't push their luck past the next week.

The real question is, what harebrained scheme will they foist upon us next? :P

At the presser today, the numbers of infected, etc are dropping fast.

No wonder the MSM stopped covering them.

I was just saying this earlier when I heard that 80% of new Commie Cough infections in my state are elderly in long-term care facilities. Not people going to church in violation of their state tyrant's orders, not people going grocery shopping at the big box retailers, not people working "critical" jobs who are exposed to the public all day every day. Long-term care facilities. Those are about as locked down as you're going to get even on a normal day, and it's not like the residents are going to the gym or wandering around the mall. They're mostly confined to beds and maybe get up and walk around the halls of the facility if they're able to, but their every interaction is largely controlled and supervised. If THOSE PEOPLE comprise 80% of new infections, then what the fuck is the point of locking everyone else down?

Correction: we need experts who don't lie. There was NO data to support this. THIS is why New York, Michigan, & New Jersey purposely infected their seniors to try to make people believe this is necessary. There needs to be a criminal investigation.

Or the 1968-69 Hong Kong flu pandemic,

CDC is living proof of the Peter Principle.

Is this what $100 billion over the past 10 years gets us? Fire them all. Flipping a coin would give better advice, and that's just a quarter.

Say NO to the concept of a “new normal”.

No, the CDC did not admit anything. Please, read the article, source material, and compare the claims.
The CDC released scenarios for "planning purposes only", and parameters in those scenarios are estimates and "not predictions of the expected effects". What's the difference between estimates and predictions? No idea, but this is what the CDC actually said.
As to the numbers, their current best case scenario lists 0.004 as the Symptomatic Case Fatality Ratio. The same scenario lists 35% (not 50% as the source tweet highlights) as percent of infections that are asymptomatic. Therefore, the symptomatic infections account for 65% of the total.
Therefore, as CFR = DEATHS/CASES, true CFR will be DEATHS/(SYMPT.CASES/0.65) or
DEATHS/SYMPT.CASES * 0.65 or
0.004 * 0.65 or
0.0026
So it appears, it is a case of "using the wrong formula but getting the right result".
And the CDC never did these calculations or made any conclusions whatsoever.
