When socialist Europeans behave as though American military support is a foregone conclusion even as their Nations increasingly default and underpay towards shared strategic projects or organizations, they are existing within a delusion of indefinite support from a neglected and unappreciated strategic partner.
When altruistic Liberals and Conservatives ignore tried and true methods of creating close knit interdependent groups in favor of radical unequal adoptions of strangers in dependent roles, they accept others indiscriminately and suffer (or profit) rapidly as a result of this gamble. They suffer from the Gambler's fallacy as they do not see their so-called "bonding" method as a gamble, but instead as a humanitarian duty: creating an endless cycle of suffering and ingroup discrimination or displacement.
