Well, I live in California. And most of them aren't really leftists... they're just typical normie liberals. They vote for Bernie simply bc it was trendy.
We honestly agree on most issues- they think PC culture suck, communism doesn't work, tax dollars should not go to illegal immigrants, etc. One of them recently is becoming increasingly redpilled- he lives in San Francisco, and his car got broken into twice in a month, and the cops don't do squat.
The main issue is that they have double standards, probably due to getting their news from /r/all. Any gaffe or error Trump makes is 100x worse than any a Democrat can make- since their newsfeed is blasted with anti-Trump news way more. Most of the DNC platform this year, we all agree, is utter garbage, but due to the one-sided "news" they see, they're convinced Trump is more far-right than the DNC is far-left. (analogously, Fox News is too biased but Salon is all right.)
Right now, the most glaring is Obamagate/Russiagate. Back in 2017, every liberal on my FB was flipping their shit over Russiagate, following Mueller like it's some reality TV show, sharing Russia memes, etc. Most recently, Obamagate comes out and... crickets.
