They're afraid of being sued by crazy Karens and no one backing them up on it. Most churches run on a shoestring budget with volunteers, they don't have money for lawyers. One Karen claims she "got sick" from attending and they're in trouble. We need a legal immunity for all churches and businesses from being sued over accusations of illness.
We need a lot of things, but we only have so many Trumps and people with backbones out there strong enough to do anything about stuff like this. Odds are we're going to take an L here.
Came to say this. And churches have been dealing with Karen Atheists , legislators, judges slowly eroding freedoms that used to be assumed.
I wonder if they'll have to make people sign waivers and put up "Worship at Your Own Risk" signs. Ugh.
