In the past week, I've been to two local grocery stores, a Walmart, a car dealership for service, and Home Depot. I don't (and won't) wear a mask. No one has said a word to me about doing so. This is in liberal Washington state.
It may be because I'm 6-1, 190 lbs, I lift (I like to think it shows, even when I wear my leather jacket), and I carry (I know it doesn't show, but maybe it's my attitude that does). No one has said anything to me about wearing a mask. On the other hand, I don't think I've ever been addressed as 'sir' so many times in a single week. One guy even greeted me as 'sir', with a head bob, as we passed in the entry way at one of the grocery stores.
As an aside, while out and about this past week, I will say that everything seems normal. Traffic seems normal. People outside doing normal things. Businesses seem to be normal, and open (some must be closed, but just driving down the street it's not obvious), and people are in the stores (yes, some are wearing masks but not as many as I was expecting).
