Sure. But I’d say the difference is this: the boomer/genx businesses could learn the rules as they went along. They weren’t afraid to get to work and consequences be damned, they’ll file the permits or get the certification when they have to cross that bridge. And there was a lot less of that bullshit but for now, they would get out and make that dollar.
I don’t blame millennials for being gun shy. They were raised in an authoritarian nightmare of endless regulations and zero-tolerance schools where one wrong move and you’re just done. Not only are they more screwed than ever if they forget to cross a t or dot an i but they aren’t even going to bother out of fear of the long dick of the law.
We blame the millennials, but they never grew up knowing real freedom like we Gen X and previous generations knew. Where it was ok to take a risk and fail. They had helicopter parents and Karen school administrators up their asses their entire lives waiting for a minor slip up to nail them to the wall for. They only make a move when they’ve made a completely calculated decision to do so because they’ve been conditioned by the indoctrination camps to believe the punishments for even the most minor infractions will be severe and complete.

Then at the same time they don't bother to think through anything. I'd wager a LARGE portion of the group that likes to bash on the anti-vaxxers aren't up to date on their vaccinations. Most people seem to think they just work forever but you need to get all of your shoots re-upped every couple years.
Never have I heard a single adult in their 30s say they need to get to the doctor for their booster shots, sure they go on an on about the flu shot every year but never any the rest...
Gen X and boomers had very similar barriers and red tape to cut through.

I guess I should have clarified that.
They will make the completely calculated decision based on the "correct" group think. Facts don't actually play much part in it.
