OP here. I don't want to pit baby boomers against millenials and generation Z. This is simply an underlying issue that has just gotten worse over the past 50 years. President Trump has stated this in nearly all of his books when he conducted business, from building Trump tower, to his fights against the NFL monopoly. Unfortunately this is more of a state and local issue, so there isn't a lot he can do about this as President. However, the Trump movement needs to extend to removing the local monopolies and unnecessary restrictions that are in place that actually harm us and slow the progress of growth in this country to a crawl.

I understand septic tanks leak and can cause immense environmental damage, I understand faulty construction can harm or even kill people. The problem is, THAT IS ALREADY HAPPENING RIGHT NOW with old, rotting infrastructure that is too cost prohibitive to repair BECAUSE of the very regulations that were put in place to protect us! That's the ironic part of an overburdening government. It ends up slowly KILLING you, not protecting you!

Take for example PG&E in California and how its 50+ year old gas lines are polluting the environment daily, yet nothing is being done about it because it costs too much and the wife of former governor Jerry Brown sits on the board of PG&E. Another example is all of the potholes on the roads in many cities. The reason? You must pay Union workers to fill in pot holes. Can't have volunteers. Can't be contractors just trying to get by. Hence why nothing gets done. The list goes on and on but you can get an idea of what I'm talking about.
