There's no chance in hell Sullivan is paying that lawyer out of his own pocket. Who is paying needs to be found out.

He's on the other side. Like Comey but unlike McCabe he probably didn't need a bribe to get him to do what they wanted him to do. My guess is the lawyer is for show. But if he really did commit an actionable crime, well I'm going to run out of popcorn.
