My "mail man" would tear the side of the envelop to see what movie it was-if it was something he wanted to watch, he'd keep it and return the movie several days later-I could track it online.

Not sure I'd take that as anything more than regular incompetence. I've never gotten anything in the mail that said "DO NOT BEND" that wasn't bent to shit, because the carriers don't fucking care enough to be delicate.

On top of that the envelope came with a thick piece of cardboard to protect the photo, so a lot of deliberate force was necessary to get it at multiple angles like that.

I don’t know if your mail man is a douche or not but I can tell you these things get bent and mangled all the time due to their size and level of postage paid. These things are usually sent at a rate of $0.20 when the normal postage would be $1.55.
These nonprofit mailers are crazy low on the postage tier.
