So I'll have to venture a guess that there's about a .1% chance (.001) that's one in 1000 bikers on this trail will fall. Say 10% (.1) will need an ambulance. Of the general population, 10% or .1 might have or had covid 19. And finally about 250 bikers a week use this trail. There's 4 weeks in a month. Sorry not too good at math, I get 1.2% chance that an EMT might get exposed (but not necessarily catch) to Covid from a fallen biker. In other words over 100 months of rescuing fallen bikers off this trail once a month, 1 of them could have covid if covid chances stay the same.
Stop even playing this stupid game. We went from “flatten the curve” (i.e. people will get this, just hopefully not all at the same time) to “no one can ever get this virus”
People need to get real comfortable real fast that we are ALL GOING TO GET THIS FUCKING VIRUS AND IT’S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. Herd immunity means people get the fucking virus.
Yes. I still can’t believe we went from Fifteen Days to Flatten the Curve back in March. At the time, my son’s college extended Spring Break another week and they were hoping to give the students two weeks and then they could return to campus. So much for that. All Hell broke loose. Students were sent home. Businesses shuttered. Proms canceled. High school and college graduations canceled. No more church. Close all the pools. Close beaches. Lock up public restrooms with running water (but supply port a potty next to it!), fence off playground equipment, cancel all spring youth sports, cancel all summer youth sports...
Then on top of that, with a 99.98% survivability, that number needs to be multiplied by 100 to get an actual chance of death. So 100x100 months = 10,000 months before a single person would die from this scenario. Gotta say, I like those odds.
I don’t think that would have anything to do with a restriction. After all, people fall walking and might need an EMT. I just think they are tyrants and like to make up rules.
There is no logical reasoning behind most of their orders

So much for our original objective.

But all those bike victims would be clogging up the already overtaxed healthcare system! flatten the curve bro!
