I live in California. My dad just got taken to the emergency room. They won’t let me in to see him. Say there are no exceptions. Anyone out there in this wonderful state that has had to deal with this or any commie Fornia lawyers out there that might give me some advice?

Thanks everyone for the comments. I appreciate it. Dad (who is 89) has pneumonia and was tested for COVID-19. We will hear back on the COVID test tomorrow.
I was able to make many attempts to get in via advice from an attorney friend of mine, but to no avail. The basic line was: "Doesn't matter what our policy says [we were at Kaiser], the state's policy overrides that." Kaiser's policy states (as updated on May 1, 2020) that a person with cognitive issues can have one relative with them in the emergency room. Not relevant, apparently. Very frustrating. My worst experience with bureaucracy ever. I don't expect they were very happy with me either.
