Masks do not measurably protect people from viruses. Even the big best mask, the N95 mask, which is named so for protecting you from 95% of airborne particles of 300 nanometers or bigger. Viruses like covid-19 are 125 nanometers on average. An N95 mask is not considered measurably effective to stop transmissions of viruses. Surgical/disposable ear loop masks that are MUCH worse than an N95 mask are effectively and measurably useless against viruses.

False. Masks protect people at risk and CDC claims that surface transference is next to nil. Many at risk people can't even wear masks, and forcing healthy people to wear masks reduces herd immunity spreading at this point which, again, Sweden proves is effective with less than 20% of the population being exposed.
False. The shut down should have never happened outside of shutting down and limiting passengers on public transit. If we're playing the hindsight game all we had to do was tell fat people and the elderly to stay home and get grocery delivery or room service, while so-called essential workers developed immunity rapidly and after a few months of that we would have non-existent vectors of infection besides international travel. Which we couldn't do at the time because the virus if it was here went unreported until January and February because no one was testing for it, and we had no idea of its lethality, infectiousness, or anything else. If you want to blame anyone for not shutting down sooner, blame China for leaving international travel available to the infected while shutting down internal travel from the affected regions.

Also I don't know all of the states that did this, but some have been forcing nursing homes to take in covid patients. Maybe some red states did this, so make sure you research before making claims. Idk because I haven't all I know is some states like Michigan have.
