Gaiter style neck mask from the local hunting store works. It’s It’s comfortable and provides absolutely no protection to anybody or anything so it’s kind of like saying “fuck you” without actually saying it
If places have a mask requirement that’s what I put on
What's better is I got my hair cut and we're required to wear one.
Anyway the woman (Asian at that but she did a bang up job) pulled my face mask forward and blew the hairdryer in there to blew out the pieces of hair that fell in!
I thought it was fucking hilarious the stupidity of it all!
I need a haircut... I really just go for the beard trim. If they try to make me wear a mask for that? My money goes elsewhere.
I love my barber, he's fucking awesome and this shop has been the best thing I've found since I moved here, but I won't support anyone supporting such stupidity. Don't have the balls to stand up for what's right? You don't have the balls to recieve my hard earned cash. I can find a stripper who is just as good at cutting hair who will do it for cheaper without the bullshit.
My hair is near shoulder length now, it’s insane. Can pull my bangs below my chin, touch my chest even at the right angle. Waiting for my barber to be in full swing - I live in a super libertarian state, and go figure they’re in the only city that’s acting out, enforcing mask requirements, etc.
Of course, I could just go locally and not drive the hour+, but I’ve stayed loyal even after moving because it’s the best barber shop I’ve ever been to, give the best cuts, and super old school vibe (right down to the 1950s chairs, etc). It’s veteran/marine owned, they give vets free cuts (I’m not one/that’s not why I’m going lol), do a ton of volunteer work in the community, have a fridge of free beer while you wait... worth the drive and really hope those guys are doing alright. In normal times they’re the busiest barber shop I’ve ever seen
"Walk in the front door, get temp checked. Grab a mask out of a big ole bin?"
Used to be the same procedure where I work too until end of last week. Now we have to actually have a mask on or we can't enter at all. I've been using the same mask for a few weeks now and that will get even longer now. At least until it won't stay on my face. In my mind, this is the biggest bunch of non-sense since Climate Change. I shake my head constantly in disbelief because anyone with a brain knows none of this means a fucking thing.
Dude, wearing the same mask over and over is terribly unsanitary. You're putting yourself at risk for illness.
Please, if you are forced to wear a mask, wear something fresh and clean. We already have people turned away due to fever, only to find out it's THE FUCKING FLU!!!!!!
I refuse to wear a mask.
In the Navy, I was a primary valve operator. Lots of training on contamination management (on top of what every nuke already gets trained/drilled on constantly)
After the navy, Thanks Obama, I was pretty much stuck in kitchens and retail. Kitchens also have precautions to minimize spread of shit.
Every fucking bit of my training, and what I remember from health class says:
DO NOT REUSE PPE (it's a barrier. If you don't dispose of the barrier and promptly wash your hands, you defeated the purpose)
Improper use of PPE can be more dangerous than not using it
I refuse to listen to a few karens and politicians on shit that I've had to know and practice in my career and training.
Thanks, I do know all of that. Believe it or not, I work in a hospital. Every medical source I have spoken with since this began has said the masks are near worthless. Most people don't wear them properly or contaminate them by touching and lowering and taking off and on and.........
I've been blessed that I rarely if ever get sick and I have never wiped down surfaces, worn masks, use hand sanitizers, anything. People around me who are freakish cleaners and sanitizers get sick constantly. Probably just luck on my part.
Masks are useless after a few hours. As they get wet with your breathing through it. The particles then travel on the moisture as you breathe in and out.
Those types of masks are only really worn for long periods of time is surgery settings.
Now they are asking people to wear them all day and in hot working settings.
I know. The problem is the people who are open during these times will do anything to remain open to protect their business and lower liability. I do not blame any of the business people or business owners. I blame the politicians for the stupidity. And the complicit media.
If I had someone tell me to wear a mask, I'd just tell them I have a medical exemption and it's literally against the law for them to ask any further.
But I strangely don't have to do that around here. I say strangely because we up here in New England aren't exactly known for our super-friendly people, but I walk everywhere without a mask and the people in the stores are just as nice as they usually are. Happy, upbeat conversations like normal.
Except for one guy but he was grumbling under his breath and I couldn't make out exactly what he was saying so I couldn't tell if he was grumbling about me or if he was just regularly mentally unwell and talking to the voices in his head.
Show your employer the side of the mask box where it says it doesn’t do fuck all for flu or Covid type viruses. Ask your employer if the placebo mask is really necessary.
It's difficult to find a lot of things that are non-china made in the kitchen. I tried finding a toaster (to no success), a coffee-maker (to no success). I also tried to find an alarm clock. Found one online from the 1960's that worked, made in USA. I was purchasing lawn furniture this week and was happy to find a lot of made in USA lawn furniture !
There is a store in NYC that has online store that sells cleaned and refurbished made in USA kitchen appliance items from decades ago. They have waffle makers. https://www.toastercentral.com/waffles.htm
KitchenAid, Krupps, Cuisinart and Breville should cover most all your kitchen needs (all were at least US as of last year), and whirlpool for any of your major appliance needs
Edit - also forgot Maytag, and just checked, my black and decker toaster isn’t that old and says it’s made in US
I think Breville is now made in China. Black and Decker is hard to find where it's made. I wish companies would start specifying where everything was made. Transparency !
Agreed, and I think we will start seeing that. I've been seeing more and more on Amazon that any US product says in the product description "Made in the USA." It's rare, but I now just look for that, and if I don't see it, assume it's Chinese.
As far as Breville, you could be right, I just found that on an info page, but I know the rest are American. Black and Decker is the only one where I'm basing it off my own toaster that I took a look at (tossing all my Chinese stuff and repurchasing quality), and it's about 5 years old, so definitely possible it's different now.
My idea is to cut the entire sick communist shit hole country off and make everything in America or countries with free citizens... And support the Chinese people in freeing themselves from their sick government, not supporting the government or ignoring their atrocities.
I'm required to wear a mask at my job too, but I don't. What are they gonna do, fire me? Thanks to the POS Tom Wolf, people in my state are getting paid more on unemployment than I make in a week.
If you are having to wear one all day and you are full time. Ask your doctor about the effects of long term oxygen deprivation. Then complain about migraines and blurred vision.
Then get others you work with that dont like wearing them to complain aswell. Doing the same thing. Ring doctor. Complain about oxygen deprivation and headaches.
Also saying you are tired all the time since you had to wear a mask.
Use "health and safety" against them. If you or others can fake passing out all the better.
Same at my work. So I just wear an American flag bandana whenever around in the hallways and never cover my nose so I can breathe. Sends a fuck you message rather well
Can you get away with a Bandana? It's what I use, as I am also forced to wear them at work. They belonged to my grandfather, who furnished buildings in NYC back during its brief renaissance. The way I fold/tie them lets me get all the air I need coming up from underneath it, and a little sweat on my nose helps keep it in place even though it's loose as hell because I don't give a shit.
I can't wait to get back to work. I used up all my PTO. I will be forced to wear a mask. I will be breathing in my own nasty breath 7 hours a day. I will get sick from it, I will have to go without pay while I'm sick because I was forced to use up all my PTO. 🤡🌏
I'm fairly confident that employees forced to wear masks can sue their employer, but it won't be successful for awhile (not a lawyer, just guessing).
A local female employee of a kroger near me pinned her mask to her shirt and said she's "wearing it" and that they weren't going to force her to put a damn thing on her face.
Yup. Just ask Alyssa Milano. 😂
My unwashed jock would fit her perfectly and be more effective and it's Made in America.
She probably would prefer a snorkel since it goes in your mouth
Gaiter style neck mask from the local hunting store works. It’s It’s comfortable and provides absolutely no protection to anybody or anything so it’s kind of like saying “fuck you” without actually saying it

As well as the more malicious and political motives behind this virus that came from CHINA!
I have one I use for motorcycling and outdoor activities it protects from UV rays so mine is actually good for something.
Hey what kind is that?
Since we have to wear the mask at work, I've stopped with my sunscreen because you can smell it in the mask.
Buff Works like a champ. Check the types there are different ones like windproof, UV, fleece, etc.
Nice. They have some some very cool ones. I will definitely be buying this paycheck. Thank you.
No mas(k).
I use my fishing buff, but only if I can't get into a place that I need to go. Florida sun can be brutal.
100% agree, this is what I use.
This is the way. Look as much like a bank robber gunslinger as humanly possible
Wear a bandana if you are required but can. Good for robbing 7-11 too!
No don't the avg haul is $37 and the risks are huge.
Better off robbing a bank. Don't even need a gun and you will probably make out with somewhere between 2k and 5k.
No need to rob 7-11 anymore, their chili and cheese are now free with any purchase!
Well sheeeet. Time to raise hell.
I got a doctor's note against wearing a mask. Work gave me a face shield instead. Much better.
The folks at work don't like that I point out that our use of the mask is unsanitary as fuck.
Walk in the front door, get temp checked. Grab a mask out of a big ole bin?
Dude, that's fucking nasty. I know these fuckers don't wash their hands as is. Now, I gotta put ON MY FACE something that these nasty fucks touched?
What's better is I got my hair cut and we're required to wear one.
Anyway the woman (Asian at that but she did a bang up job) pulled my face mask forward and blew the hairdryer in there to blew out the pieces of hair that fell in!
I thought it was fucking hilarious the stupidity of it all!
It is hilarious and stupid to an extreme.
Wondering if one would have to wear a mask to get her balls waxed?
I need a haircut... I really just go for the beard trim. If they try to make me wear a mask for that? My money goes elsewhere.
I love my barber, he's fucking awesome and this shop has been the best thing I've found since I moved here, but I won't support anyone supporting such stupidity. Honk

Did you notice the label saying not for medical use and the disclaimer in the box saying they offer no protection to viruses?
It's all so incredibly stupid.
dO yOu wAnT gRanDma to DIE??
I know right...
I know. The problem is the people who are open during these times will do anything to remain open to protect their business and lower liability. I do not blame any of the business people or business owners. I blame the politicians for the stupidity. And the complicit media.
Company policy is the issue. Many business leaders would obviously know how stupid this all is.
If the company cannot force Muslim to take off hijab they CANNOT force you to put one on!
If I had someone tell me to wear a mask, I'd just tell them I have a medical exemption and it's literally against the law for them to ask any further.

Again, all types of masks are useless after a few hours. No matter the grade.
It's one of the reasons hospitals go through so many of them. They get wet over time and the particles travel on the moisture.
They can put them into special ovens. One to kill germs and to dry them out more than anything.
It's not so much if you wear them. Its more the fact places are asking workers to wear one or two all day.
Show your employer the side of the mask box where it says it doesn’t do fuck all for flu or Covid type viruses. Ask your employer if the placebo mask is really necessary.
I know. It's all so stupid.
Well I can tell you a good reason that my boss told me.
It is not that we do it because we believe it. We do it because we can be sued by customers and the state.
Frivolous lawsuits are not a good reason. It is definitely an issue.
In Illinois that is up to debate to be honest. Seen some weird lawsuits here so can't rule that to not be a good reason.
Not logical, but still with the way things are going in this state it's a toss up to put it lightly.
Feels bad man. Im trying to find a non-china waffle maker. ideas?

I hope it's an "inclusive OR", XOR I'm afraid you'll come up empty.
(Sorry, I learned to code.)
Vintage cast iron waffle maker. Made in the USA and will last generations.
Check out C Palmer. American made, and I’m pretty sure the original owner/founder is related to a local Italian bakery I grew up near
https://www.amazon.com/Palmer-Electric-Belgian-Cookie-Medium/dp/B000NRQ2HA
I believe Nordic Ware also makes a US made waffle iron
I'm required to wear a mask at my job too, but I don't. What are they gonna do, fire me? Thanks to the POS Tom Wolf, people in my state are getting paid more on unemployment than I make in a week.
Same bro, if it becomes a forever thing I’m quitting I’m not doing 8 hrs of manual labor in a pair of panties on my face.

Bet you arent getting a dime extra for all this precaution the who and cdc are saying dont matter
Nope. Not a dime.
I have a ballcap in my car. If I ever need a mask I plan to just hold the cap against my face to cover my nose and mouth. A MAGA cap would be ideal.
I got a gaiter from getstuckdotcom made in US. Duffels requirement for my locality.
Bandana!
They bought our masks and sold them back to us.
Cool meme !! Bring back American jobs!!!
