Well I can tell you a good reason that my boss told me.
It is not that we do it because we believe it. We do it because we can be sued by customers and the state.
Frivolous lawsuits are not a good reason. It is definitely an issue.
In Illinois that is up to debate to be honest. Seen some weird lawsuits here so can't rule that to not be a good reason.
