They play to the fears of their constituency in order to rile their emotional response. On the other hand, the conclusion is short, concise, and clear: give us your money. Moreso, it adds emotional guilt that; you should at the very least do what the average person does! Insinuating that otherwise you are below average and have failed as a productive member of society.
