USPS is obviously a Federal agency under his authority, and voter fraud by mail will be rampant in Blue States.

Any challenge by the Democrats in court will lose, because it's not denying anyone's right to vote.

If anything, it's to PROTECT USPS workers & State workers from potentially touching mail-in-ballots with the virus.

The USPS is controlled by the Postmaster General who is a Presidential appointee. Its technically not a government controlled business. I have never been able to get a straight answer on what type of business the USPS is. They get some benefits that private business get but it is an establishment of the executive branch. I would really like someone to answer this if they know the answer. Is the USPS controlled by the executive branch or is it some hybrid private/government run business?

Have y'all been getting the adds asking us to contact our congressmen about rescinding the postal rate increases? It is a thinly veiled add campaign by AMAZON to retain it's HUGE postal subsidy.

Enlighten us if you will how Amazon is retaining a postal subsidy. Amazon delivers its own items. Other sources on Amazon may use the post office. Is this what you speak of?

Yeah, I've heard the 'subtle' commercials.

Amazon entered into a VERY favorable contract which cost the Postal Service money for every package delivered for Amazon. All other users are subsidizing Amazon.

The service is available for all, but the cost isn't the same for all.

We get Amazon through USPS, or outside delivery service all the time. Surprised the hell out of me.

I've seen a few commercials for it on FOX actually. Said something like them wanting to increase the price to mail stuff by like $4 or something like that.

Right, even the simple security ids we have where I work would prevent fraud.

It should at least be mandatory that mail in ballots are given tracking numbers, and the tracking info be publicly available online.

I don't see how this would stop the fraud.

23 envelopes to one address that is a outhouse?

I can fill out a hundred ballots at home and put them all in one mail box. I could maybe get to the polls a few times o. Election day if I wanted but never 100 times.

OP, you're a solutions guy, I dig it. Lotta people complaining that don't want to put any thought into creative solutions. I'd give you more upvotes if I had clone accounts.

Better yet, as citizens we should all be required, drafted if you will, to show up for elections or to make a request for a mail in ballot. That's not a requirement to vote, however it is a self-solving solution to the voter rolls.

And how will the USPS determine who did or did not request a mail in ballot?

The Post Office is quasi-governmentl in a similar manner to the Federal Reserve. They are private with governmental appointments. You know what the Bible says about serving two masters.

Matthew 6:24 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV)

24 [a]No man can serve [b]two masters: for either he shall hate the one, and love the other, or else he shall lean to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and [c]riches.

Then Federal Elections Commission and Local Clerk's offices should have on file the signatures of everyone registered to vote to cut down on forgeries. But then you have to make sure all of the officials are not demonrat commie crooks.

Smart. The Leftist governors would howl and attempt to defy but the actual vote by mail would become suspect that the Feds were somehow manipulating. Great idea.

The other option is to attach a tracking number to each ballot and require a signature for delivery. That way they can track thr ballot and see who signed for it.

This for absentee ballots...mail in voting should be straight up illegal.

Unconstitutional. There’s a better way.

Not possible. Absentee ballots are mailed in. Much of our military votes by mail. Mail in ballots are nothing new. Higher turnout benefits the GOP so we need this in case of outbreaks. If there’s an outbreak in a red state it could really fuck us without mail in ballots.

Mail In ballots are usually in small enough numbers that they are essentially irrelevant. Making it all mail in makes fraud not only possible, but almost certain and in large enough quantities that even a massive turnout isn't enough to overcome the fraud.

You have to request absentee ballots though. And you provide your verification signature for your vote on the application.

Mail-in ballots skip that step. What's stopping a corrupt politician from employing local drug dealers/johns to allow trades of drugs/prostitution for a harvested ballot (politician covers the costs of the transactions plus a very generous kickback)?

Absentee ballots can still be lost. Local voting and every community ensuring the integrity of their local polling places is key to a safe democracy.

Maybe the most secure would be a machine that could scan a ballot filled out by hand and instantly convert it to digital. I mean, we had standardized testing automated even back in the 1970s. Why not turn over the management of the vote to our state lotto departments, who are infinitely more secure to prevent fraud? There's a poll at every gas station. You just need Voter ID to implement it...

Precident is important here. There is zero issue if and only if those who want a mail in ballot request one. If that step is skipped, it's no longer mail in ballots.

Yes, we need to be able to put in personal requests for them.
