It's much more than just the health system. Japanese have developed a much more hygienic culture than the U.S. They effectively don't have places where it can spread as it did here in New York or Louisiana.
As a germaphobe and right now living in NYC, having lived and worked around the world, NYC is the most disgusting city ayh have yet seen relative to its infrastructure. Used to ponder how a pandemic would not kill millions here.. which is how ayh know CoV2 was not a pandemic.
