That could have been me. That empty seat at the table could have been ours. That family at the grave could have been us. The Flag could have been mine...
Then I realise: it was. Their loss is mine. That Military Family shared their most cherished treasure with the entire nation; the beauty of their 'Hero, Proved' was a gift to us all, and their loss spreads its ripples far and wide...
America is still America because of their gift, and their loss is ours.
Mine made it home because theirs sacrificed all. On this day, we remember their loss, and the pain that never fails, and the love that never dies, because we are all entertwined in that Greater Love, who laid down Life for his friends...
Honor to you, honor to your loved ones, honor to all who have served and especially today, formerly Decoration Day, honor to those who breathed their last in the armed services. They died fighting to live.
Teach your children well to esteem their military. Esteem veterans and assist them now in every way you can. They wrote a blank check up to an including their lives to the Commanders-in-Chief they served under.
Remembering my Step-Uncle who lied about his age and joined the Marines at 17. He died during the landing at Iwo Jima. Thank God for brave boys like Raymond Wilson! Hoo-Rah!
Join me today in praying for our country and giving thanks for all the sacrifices of the service men and women and their families. Please father save our country help us to remove those in our government that do not believe in you and your principles.
At 3:00 PM today, Memorial Day, wherever you are, please join Steve Hartman and retired Air Force bugler Jari Villanueva who are calling on American musicians to play “Taps Across America” to honor the fallen.
I would like to thank my great uncle for his sacrifice, a man I never knew but will always be a hero to my family. Corporal Bibeau was a member of the 187th Airborne Infantry Regimental Combat Team. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in Inje North Korea on May 28, 1951. His name was Duane Bibeau of the Ojibwe Tribe.
"Woods was born in Vernal, Utah, on April 18, 1947[8] and had a brother ten years younger.[9] His father, Gail Peyton Woods, was an army intelligence officer who died in 1960[10] after routine surgery. "
As a Military Mother, I never forget...

Thanks Mods...this one brought tears to my eyes.
Holy balls! You Americans know how to make this look good. To all defenders of what's Right and the Light: We will not forget!
We must not forget.
We will not forget.
I was at the American Servicemen's cemetery in Normandy last June when they played taps at 5pm. Nothing prepared me for that. #neverforget

This gave me chills. Respect to those who’ve given their lives so we can all enjoy what we currently have. 🇺🇸
May we prove worthy of their sacrifice, when the time comes.
Eternal rest grant unto them, oh Lord, and may the perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace.
May their souls, and the souls of all the faithfully departed, rest in peace.
Amen.

If that doesn't give you chills I don't want to know you.
Who is cutting onions in here?
Idk, but I wish they would cut it out.
God bless our men and women who serve our country!
