It’s odd that it has been prescribed for decades, and now it’s only a problem. Just having the virus wouldn’t make you all of a sudden more susceptible to heart issues from the med would it?
My paternal Grandmother (the one 'from the old country' that my mother said was a backwards fool) would make us gargle with warm salt and baking soda water at the first sign of sniffles. She said it would keep the bugs from getting to our lungs.
God Bless, Grandma. She could never have explained why it works - but she was no fool.
I don't know specifically the answer to your question as it pertains to HCQ. But I can tell you medicinal therapies are largely ineffective in reversing a metabolic acidosis commonly seen in pathogenic diseases.
It doesn't stop us from trying, usually with sodium bicarbonate (a base) and massive fluid resuscitation (watering down the kool-aid). It's like a bucket bailing out the titanic. You need to reverse the underlying cause.
Definitely a lie. China virus thrives in acidic blood, as does heart disease. Hydroxychloroquine is alkaline. Totally opposite.
Thank you for the correction Doc. I meant it more associative than anything.

Source for “acidic blood”? Does HCQ increase blood pH? Just curious!
HCQ is alkaline. Opposite of acidic. Lowers the pH. https://www.marioninstitute.org/heart-disease-the-link-between-blood-acidity-and-heart-disease/

It creates the right environment for the zinc to work. This is also the reason for the old folk remedy of using baking soda to help cure the flu.

So it must love the typical unhealthy American diet high in refined carbs.
