The .308 is done and shoots like a dream, but I have another lower and I'm not sure what to build. 30-06 would be fun but I haven't found any mags for an AR platform. 6.5C sounds fun also.

Appreciate the question! TBH I just want it to shoot 30 caliber rounds, and I want to have as many platforms as I can for differing availability of ammunition. Not exactly "well regulated" ik. 06 is well established, but 6.5 seems to be sticking around.
6.5 is a long distance round. That is its primary purpose. So if that is what you want to do with this build it is a perfect round. That is the only caliber I do not own in a weapon but I do have a 300 WinMag That travels like a monkey with its ass on fire. Mrgunsandgear has a few videos on the subject. Head there 1st
