Yes. It's wrong. People who die should be remembered and cherished as appropriate.

But MEMORIAL DAY is reserved for SOLDIERS WHO DIE IN WAR.

VETERANS DAY is for all vets, dead or alive, combat or not, war casualties or not.

Exactly, not saying they shouldn't be remembered, just that today is not the day for that. And I feel like the msm is trying to change what this holiday is about permanently.

Mixing WuFlu with this day was exactly what the NYT did with their front page. Media theme of the day.

And lessening the sacrifice that we honor on Memorial Day.

Old and sick people inadvertently died from a virus. They should be remembered with the same reverence as veterans who fought for their nation and died for your freedom.

(sarcasm, obviously)

Was watching GEOTUS's Memorial Day speech today on Fox 10, which is usually very respectful of the President, and they had the screen split 50/50 the entire time with the Chinese virus tally map. Disgusting and unnecessary.

Once again the #FakeNews shows there's no low to which they won't stoop.

Memorial Day is a day for remembering America's finest, those who died in the honorable line of duty to keep the country free and maintain our strategic interests around the world.

The left is spitting and pissing on the military once again, misappropriating the national commemoration day to smear Trump over "coronavirus deaths" (most of which were self-inflicted in a handful of leftard states due to moronic leftard policy).

Every true American should be outraged at the left's despicable unamerican behavior. For the left, everything is politicized and nothing is sacred other than winning through whatever dishonest means it takes.

As far as memorials are concerned, we might as well throw in an extra memorial commemorating the days when honest, worthwhile, patriotic journalism existed among the mainstream.

Agree. It's no different than someone dying from a flu. Of course the death is sad for loved ones, but it's not like some special thing.

I called today to wish my family (Mom and step-dad) happy Memorial Day, especially since he served in Vietnam and he lost plenty of friends. I mentioned that it was raining a lot here and according to FB that 5 years ago today, my wife got her picture taken with Kid Rock at the FoH tourney in OK that ultimately got rained out. His first response was “I hate Kid Rock”. After pausing a bit, I said “happy Memorial Day, I called to speak with Mom”. He has always envied people that took risks and/or were more successful than him. And I know he was making a political statement by saying that. But I’ve also known for a long time, that people like him aren’t worth my time. (Side note, he’s also probably pissed I’m buying a newer bigger home right now and hopefully keeping this one to rent). Fuck him.

Can relate, have a stepmom that we dont exactly get along, although shes a huge trump supporter thankfully. Shes just very naggy and Karen like.

Man - I’d take the nagging if it was from someone open-minded, but I hear you. My M-I-L is kinda crazy too, but at least she’s MAGA. Without saying why, I knew immediately why he hated the Kid, which btw, is incredibly talented even if you don’t like his political views.

“Front like workers” = liberal version of soldiers in their fucked heads.

And it’s not a front line. It was an outbreak that overwhelmed New York city hospitals. There is no fucking front line

It’s a shame, but you are correct.

yes, it's pretty daggon screwed up. Somehow coronavirus has become equivalent to fighting a freaking war and the nurses are the soldiers risking their lives. it's the height of absurdity. we are living in a weird, upside down world.
