We don't even need to rely on the argument of fraud.

Incompetence and insecurity are good enough arguments on their own to destroy the concept of mail in voting on a national level.

I think you're on to something here!

Take WI for an example: USPS just so happened to "lose" about as many ballots as R's "just so happened" to not vote in our primary last month. R's have consistently voted in about the same numbers every primary here since ever. And we had a Supreme Court seat up for grabs this year, so no way are we not voting. So we "lost" that Supreme Court seat. Fortunately we still have a 4-3 majority, but it should be 5-2.

It's simply a more winning argument to let them pretend it was "incompetence" and that our concern is "security." Even though we 100% know it was fraud. If nobody's going to jail, what difference at this point does it make? We need RESULTS. One vote, one voter, one photo ID, ink the finger. We furnished secure elections in Afghanistan of all places, no reason we can't do it here.

Exactly...

USPS has lost numerous packages of mine in the past. Same with UPS. Fedex has been good but I still dont trust the employees of any company or government entity to make sure my vote gets from my mail box to some shadowy building in the capital.
