All the cutesy words and labels they use for everything are so cringey/faggy it makes me want to vomit.

I dunno about vomit, but occasionally I wonder if the car stereo will survive me intermittently punching it.

I can attest it will not survive being ripped from the dash and tossed out the window at 45mph.

"We're all in this together" is particularly aggravating. Because it's usually said by people who still have jobs telling people who got laid off that they're selfish for wanting to go back to work.

The last one.. "We're all in this together". I will not shop anywhere that uses this phrase. Ever.

Every night at 7:00 people come out on their condo balconies and bang pots etc.

I want to scream. It's OVER. The curve ain't getting any fucking flatter. It was all an over-hyped hoax! GET THE FUCK OVER IT!!!

Pretty sure I would be tarred, feathered and cast out of society.

It frightens me just how easily society has been brainwashed to give up their freedoms....

...and they cheer about it every night at 7:00.

A good short video here regarding our innate conformity to social norms: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7iN0V-GbM0&feature=youtu.be

Before social distancing, quite a few years ago, you remember "stay out of my bubble"?

The youtube ads are so awful now. Worst part is most of them don't have a vote button like most ads

I remember a time, many years before personal computers were in every home, when an immunodeficient boy living in a bubble was an object of sympathy and not a fucking role model for society.

Don't watch ads - get uBlock Origin. Ads are the #1 vector for malware in the entire world.

Want to know why you're seeing so much of this feel-good pablum and fear monger nonsense on TV? Go shopping sometime and count the ratio of men vs. women who are spending money at retail.

All advertisers care about is people who spend money, and women spend the money, so we get ads designed to appeal to women, both their best and worst qualities. Notice who isn't getting in on this pablum business? The car companies. Why? Men buy cars. They've got ads addressing the situation, but it's all matter-of-fact stuff, not emotional vomit.

Guys always say they are tired of this crap, then send their wife/GF/momma out to do their shopping for them. Never going to change unless the demographics of spending do.

You're completely correct. Always follow the money!

Turn off the TV and be constructive. Don't spend all your time being programmed by corporate trash. Build something, clean your house, exercise, spend time with family, join the meme army, etc.

I actually miss campaign ads.

I use an ad blocker so I completely forget about the ads on YT until I get on a browser without one and I am instantly annoyed by all the BS ads.
