the thing I'm tired of hearing from people in response, especially here in NJ where they cite some archaic 1941 "Emergency powers law" that apparently gives the Governor the power to basically act like a dictator and go over the heads of the legislature and issue orders like this. Such a law is unconstitutional as it suppresses citizens' constitutionally-guaranteed rights.
Governor executive orders are not laws.
There is a reason why they are not laws, as proven by what these morons are doing.
Governors cannot unilaterally do this on their own, and it is flat out illegal.
