Tylenol has more deaths

44
GoldenEarz 44 points ago +44 / -0

Tylenol deaths and permanent injuries are more common than you might expect: http://archive.is/wip/6FoPV

tldr: never mix Tylenol (acetaminophen) with alcohol, never exceed its limits for dosage or maximum consecutive days.

Twenty years ago, people ate them like candy, but with what we know now, I wouldn't take Tylenol unless maybe I had a very high fever. For more frequent types of pain, Advil or Aleve are much safer OTC choices, and yet Tylenol is still OTC because Americans can be trusted with a little risk management. We're not babies. IMO HCQ should be OTC here in the US just like it is in most countries around the world.

Quinine used to be OTC until the year after a study was published showing how effective it is for RNA viruses of all types.

Things that make you go hmmmm...

18
Not_Even_a_Dentist 18 points ago +18 / -0

Yep. Doctors knew about quinine's effectiveness in this regard 100 years ago: https://i.imgur.com/jUfX8bV.png

Tylenol is very safe if you take it within prescribed limits

Tylenol can absolutely destroy your liver if you don't use it correctly

NAC is all around great stuff. Everybody should at least have some. It's cheap. It helps lots of things that contribute to not catching de plague. It also helps your body utilize antioxidants. Since they won't let us have effective medicine if we DO catch de plague, the same things we can do to help not catch it also help us kick it.

Exercise. Hot bath. NAC with C and all the other antioxidants you can get. Vitamin D and A. Echinacea.

teh_dahnald 3 points ago +5 / -2

tylenol is way safer than NSAIDs, even with the liver toxicity

Tylenol doesn't do anything for me. Aleve or aspirin. I hardly ever take it though.

Probably 80-90% of drugs in the US that are Rx only should be OTC. The ONLY drug that is OTC that should be Rx is Tylenol. When teens (girls) are having their cries for attention, they'll take beneydryl and a pain reliever. If it's Aspirin, naproxen, or ibuprofen, it's not GREAT! for them, but a stomach pump/some powerful laxatives, a psych consult, and a follow-up and they're fine. Tylenol? THEY. ARE. FUCKED! Not always, but enough that if all the PSA's we pump into schools and over the radio/YouTube, a "DON'T TRY TO KILL YOURSELF WITH TYLENOL, IT FUCKING HURTS!" or maybe even the truth would probably save more lives yearly than just about every other PSA aired out together.

The shit part is it's hard to get accurate stats, I have it on low authority that more than one COD was fudged at the threat of lawsuit.

5
Darkheartisland 5 points ago +5 / -0

Antibiotics should always be Rx. Part of the reason these diseases are getting so powerful is because of the overuse of antibiotics.

3
CuomoisaMassMurderer 3 points ago +3 / -0

Colloidal silver came out just before antibiotics and the medical field loved it. They still use it in some cases where antibiotics won't work. Now they pooh pooh it just so they can virtue signal. If we had taken the exact opposite approach, use silver wherever it works and reserve antibiotics for when silver doesn't work, we'd be WAY ahead of the game now.

I respectfully disagree. While i listed a sadly common example, there are many, many more long term issues that result from Nyquil and Tylenol being used together, despite Nyquil already containing tylenol. Also, i donrrecall suggesting it be banned, nor do i recall an amendment to the constitution of the United States enshrining the right to unfettered access to tylenol.

Exceeding total dosage during a 24 hour period is also where people get into trouble.

3
Yawnz13 3 points ago +4 / -1

So it isn't "Tylenol deaths and permanent injuries", it's people ignoring recommended doses.

Yet we still see dumb statements like "Tylenol has more deaths".

The FDA exists primarily to take off the shelf anything that works. If it weren't for ephedra I'd be dead many times over. It's a bronchodilator. More people die of aspirin every year than have died from ephedra, total, over 5,000 years of use.

How many years has ephedra been illegal now? I still have plenty.

SEE: HCQ, and NYC hospitals murdering Kung Flu patients.

0
Yawnz13 0 points ago +1 / -1

Which is still a relatively small number. People chimping out over how "dangerous" medication supposedly is while conveniently failing to mention that the person who died took way more than they should have is like having an argument over the number of people who have died from being shot.

16
Drinkup4 16 points ago +16 / -0

Silly Scott, much like the fact you can't catch WuFlu in Walmart. HCQ only kills you if you use it for the WuFlu.

10
CisSiberianOrchestra 10 points ago +10 / -0

Silly Scott, much like the fact you can't catch WuFlu in Walmart.

But you sure as hell can catch it in bars, restaurants, barber shops, beauty salons, churches, tattoo parlors, concerts, sporting events, and gyms.

4
IncredibleMrE1 4 points ago +4 / -0

And you will DEFINITELY catch it in line to vote.

I know for a fact this is a fact. CNN told me so.

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +2 / -0

My Governor claims 52 people caught de plague while in person voting.

I'm sure he has scientific papers, double blind studies, and control groups to verify this ridiculous claim.

12
bubblefarts 12 points ago +12 / -0

Haven’t seen a lot of recent coverage of how the variant used for cleaning aquariums is also very effective at disposing of unwanted spouses

7
AlohaSnackbar 7 points ago +7 / -0

They got their headlines. It's in the collective consciousness of low information voters. It's done it's job, and no amount of truth can counteract it's entire influence.

1
CuomoisaMassMurderer 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'd like to think some amount of truth could get the job done ...

11
johnbillaby 11 points ago +11 / -0

I've heard that taking the drug is super dangerous when you don't know if it affects the illness you have, but is completely safe for people with lupus and malaria. They're scientists!

3
CuomoisaMassMurderer 3 points ago +3 / -0

Well it's safe for long term use at 400 mg per day, per John Hopkins. That's when you're not sick at all.

But if you have the rona? Oh nos, it's time to panic!

11
ShrikeDeCil 11 points ago +11 / -0

US Military: 40,000 doses per day from before, when it was just malaria was what I heard.

Don’t forget it’s used to treat Rheumatoid arthritis

8
Sarahbethheck 8 points ago +8 / -0

We WOULD have graves for those people were it NOT for that wonder drug.

7
utfanx2 7 points ago +7 / -0

If a patient refuses treatment because of their lies, and dies, their families better lawyer up.

I would have a commercial. "Have you or a loved one been diagnosed with lupus or malaria, but were not treated with hydrochloroquine? You may be entitled to compensation."

7
fthecoup 7 points ago +7 / -0

The honey badger should ask this at tomorrow’s WH press briefing.

1
CuomoisaMassMurderer 1 point ago +1 / -0

She should ask how many people taking HCQ long term have come down with CCPvirus. Answer: not one. Yes, it's been studied.

6
RememberTheLiberty 6 points ago +7 / -1

The mass graves are real. It's just that they feared someone would want to verify the existence of these mass graves so they exhumed the mass graves and then cremated all the bodies.

All of this to protect Trump's genetic drug.

6
BeardyMcBalderhead 6 points ago +6 / -0

Also Trump is making a fortune off of promoting the drug. That investment account managed by somebody else that Trump has no idea what is even in it, which has on the order of magnitude of $1000 in a company that makes Plaquenil along with a bajillion other companies with no relation to that, is going to explode and make Trump millions of dollars getting rich off Hydroxychloroquine, and that's why he's promoting it.

(sarcasm for anyone who doesn't see it's obvious . . . but that is a real line of attack used by libtards now).

6
Tonightm01 6 points ago +6 / -0

All I will say India is fucked. They will have to come up with a new drug to make and sell overseas.

5
VonBustacap 5 points ago +5 / -0

I'm thinking the medical malpractice lawyers would have been all over this had that been the case.

RIPIsaacKappy 5 points ago +6 / -1

This asshole is jumping on the "Stop talking about Joe Scarborough's dead intern" bandwagon.

4
BrewSwillis 4 points ago +4 / -0

Doesn't Scott know, it's only deadly when taken to combat Wuhan Flu? All other uses are still extremely safe.

2

Lets just be honest here. The left wants this drug to only be used for black people in Africa so it will wipe out the black population. Racist, I tell you, they are racist.

Yeah, right there with a the fake xovid deaths

2
SharkTeamTrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

I find it interesting that, considering how virulent and deadly the Chinese Virus supposedly is, that we haven't seen bodies of the homeless stacked up like cordwood and homeless encampments completely decimated by it.

Must be all the drugs and alcohol keeping them safe.

2
JoeBob 2 points ago +2 / -0

Guys ... 0% ... and I mean absolutely 0% ... of the dildos bitching about deadly side effects from HCQ understand Scott’s point. Hell... they probably don’t even grok that he is talking about HCQ.

2
barwhack 2 points ago +2 / -0

D: the party of PHB. Love you, Scott Adams.

1
CuomoisaMassMurderer 1 point ago +1 / -0

Studies have been done of people on HCQ long term; not one of them has caught CCPvirus.
