Canadian here, our CNN (Global News) ran an entire segment on their program last night saying something similar. They were saying that women are not being compensated fairly, made up 80%+ of the healthcare industry, and have been hardest hit because of WuhanFlu, as front line workers, but mainly, as women.
Not one cry for diversity heard in the entire segment. In fact, they claimed it was mostly all women because women are natural 'nurturers' and natural 'caregivers'. And I agree. But it was funny because I couldn't help but think of all the firefighters, soldiers, etc, who are masculine, and naturally tough, being told that their industry is 'misogynistic' and needs diversity.
Yeah alright. Natural nurturers who don't do any of the jobs that require a person sacrifice their life for others and promote killing babies in public.
At the very least I'd say that women being naturally more caring is an overstatement. Don't confuse emotional expressiveness with empathy.
