I found it kinda bogus whenever I watch a movie, or something, and there's this agency or organization who tries to hide or destroy records about a pretty fuckin neat or noteworthy occurence.
This is then followed up with a line that goes something like: "the people aren't ready for this" or "the public should never know"
Does the intelligence community think we're stupid or can't handle the "truth"?
I feel like there is more reason to classify information than "for the intrest of national security." Security from who? Who is the justice department protecting ourselves from?
Not Russia, perhaps China, but more likely ourselves.
Power and intelligence go hand and hand. The more people that have the intelligence the more power they have available. Pretty simple to understand what it means.
