WE THE PEOPLE own every scrap of information generated and/or retained by every government entity, and in this information age, it all should be online and available for any citizen who has an interest to examine it!!! Exceptions only for the most sensitive ongoing IC work, and even that should be understood to be a temporary condition.
My wish is that we could just FOIA the whole mountain of data out into the sunlight, and my hope is that our young generation, who is so logical, will one day accomplish this.
