False equivalence. With Smollet it never happened. In this case there doesn’t seem to be anyone doubting that sexual intercourse occurred and the question is whether or not it was consensual.

A generally well regarded Title IX office at Columbia, a district attorneys office, and the police department all said there wasn’t enough for a responsible finding.

None of that changes the fact that this girl truly believes it was non-consensual. Don’t do this to someone who really believes they were raped. It’s not a good look.

Technically it did happen to Smollet-he just did it to himself. Perhaps we should say none of that changes the fact that Smollet truly believes it happened to him.

By the way, how dare you say “this girl” when she is non-binary-how dare you attempt to identify her by gender when she prefers they/them/non-binary pronouns. Don’t do this to someone that prefers those pronouns. It’s not a good look.

Take a piece of advice: if someone ever says that to you non-jokingly... just roll with it. Correct yourself to "this person" and move on. If they try to couch your language further than that, and some of them will, then you can spit some fire back at them.

That's how I tell the difference between the instigators and the victims. Let the other party do the escalation. Works like a charm every time.
