Leftists have a difficult time understanding freedom. They think in terms of mandatory/not mandatory

31
CommiesEatBugs 31 points ago +31 / -0

More like in terms of mandatory "you must do this" and mandatory "you can't do this."

There is no room for freedom with the leftist mind. Things can't simply be "not mandatory" and left up to choice. If they like it, you have to do it. If they don't like it, you're banned frim doing it.

This is what irritates me about them. My parents and friends and the local priest had all worked out a good set of rules before they got shut down. After that, they had Mass on TV.

Intelligent people can make their own decisions.

NPC

Bramble 12 points ago +12 / -0

They also don't seem to understand that you don't need a reason to exercise a right.

3
Afeazo 3 points ago +3 / -0

I would just say thats what a right is, but they dont seem to use words by their definition.

10
Ekgamut 10 points ago +10 / -0

They are commies, so I am not surprised.

5
H_Guderian 5 points ago +5 / -0

They think we think the way they do.

They simply do not trust anyone. that's why you can't leave anything up to anyone, and a nice big government will sort everyone out and have no corruption or vice. Robspierre's Republic of Virtue wound up killing a lot of people. Including himself. Napoleon wasn't far behind.

I literally could not have articulated it better than this if you gave me 6 weeks and a thesaurus

32

These leftist faggots don't go to the gym anyway.

23
CommiesEatBugs 23 points ago +23 / -0

They go to Planet Fitness, where health is discouraged

Don't. Get a doorway pull up bar. Much cheaper and you can now work 90% of your upper and lower body through bodyweight exercises which will get you plenty ripped until you want to take it to next level.

Well, I mean their commercials openly mock the physically fit.

They seem to cater towards “average” people, meaning not super fit beautiful people. It’s their way of making “average” people more comfortable because apparently fit, healthy, attractive people are intimidating. I went from a real gym to 24hr fitness and was laughed at by a worker when I asked where the chalk was. He said “this is a fitness club”. At my old gym most people were very serious about fitness, and never once did I see anyone mock or look down on a non fit person. Actually the opposite, everyone super friendly and willing to help spot or give advice when asked. A few years later I moved out to a wealthier area of town and joined Lifetime fitness. There they had mostly machines and a small free weight area, but the facility is massive. Lot’s of wannabe’s and nobody overly muscular. At certain times, it was like social hour where people just stand around and talk... it was a little annoying. Especially Saturday mornings when all the girls come out with full makeup and earings and lululemon clothes. Actually, some of them loved the stair steppers in the front row, I didn’t mind that...actually made walking on the tradmills behind them enjoyable. At any gym, I just pull my hat down and work out and mind my own business. I never really had a problem with anyone. Anyway, If you want to join PF, then join PF and don’t worry about anything or anyone else. All gyms are different and there’s no shame in working out there.

2
OneBigMaga 2 points ago +2 / -0

They actively discourage fit people from joining the gym.

2
Litterboxer1 2 points ago +2 / -0

There is absolutely no reason not to join. Uberswank is giving terrible advice.
For $10 a month, it's a steal to have a full-fledged gym that's open 24/7. Yeah, they don't have a lot of things, but if you're just starting out, it won't matter. Join for a while, get in-shape, then decide if you wanna spend 3x more for a few more things. If Uberswank is really so triggered by a commercial he may just be a leftist.

1
rabdargab 1 point ago +1 / -0

You wont really enjoy working out there. Its mostly designed around people who dont really want to excersize. They have a very limited amount of actual gym equipment and seem to discourage wieghtlifting. However if you dont have a need or desire to do much wieghtlifting and are more interested in a place to go run on a treadmill, it is much cheaper than a 24 hour fitness or similar

3
H_Guderian 3 points ago +3 / -0

Its one of the best investments in my household. I've always been a lightweight, but a few small weights and that bar have given me about 35lbs of muscle, as I have no fat.

never doubt these bars! They're fairly cheap, too!

2
CommiesEatBugs 2 points ago +2 / -0

If you're "too muscular" or working out too hard, or lifting too many weights, or some fatass SJW gets offended by you being in better shape than them and REEEEs to the manager, they'll kick you out. It's a safe-space for ham-planets that want to do very little actual work and they literally have a "lunk alarm" for people who embarass the low-effort lard buckets.

Go literally anywhere else for a membership. It's the official gym of Clown World.

2
WOMP_WOMP_FAGGOT 2 points ago +2 / -0

I got a membership when I was in another state for a few months and had absolutely no problem with it and I've been lifting for 10 years. It had everything I needed - heavy dumbbells, squat racks, cross cables, pull down bar, bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, all the necessary machines, and was cheap as hell. I don't know what these people are talking about. My biggest gripe with it is the interior is ugly as fuck.

1
OhGonzo 1 point ago +1 / -0

They mock the physically fit and serve pizza, yes pizza, for free on some days of the week

1
Sumsuch 1 point ago +1 / -0

I had an issue with my membership, and when I talked to my bank they literally advised me to close my bank account and open a new one because PF was so notorious for continuing to charge people after they try to leave.

Snooptwo 19 points ago +20 / -1

I lay awake at night because I dont have a fucking gym to go to. I probably could have worked out other ways, but I like to lift, and losing that sucked away my motivation. The gym is my ADHD/anxiety/insomnia/depression medication. I've had issues with all and have taken meds for all, but for years have only used the gym and it's worked better than any medicine ever has. I want my fucking gym back.

12
rcstl [S] 12 points ago +12 / -0

Snoop, you are the antithesis of the authors concern. Hopefully you are not in one of the communist states of america and the gyms will open soon!

1
uberswank99 1 point ago +2 / -1

Can you do a one arm pushup? Pullup? One leg squat? No? Then you dont need to go to the gym. You have plenty of resistance to keep you busy for the next few months. If yes, then just do more haha.

2
OneBigMaga 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, but bodyweight exercises are lame and boring. I'd rather be fat then do those. Luckily I have been building my own home gym over the years, so I don't have to worry about it.

Have you seen their readers? They're not exactly the most stable people.

11
realJohnBarron 11 points ago +11 / -0

This seems like an adaptation of cancel culture. Just like activists would attempt to cancel a comedian/tvshow/movie etc that they never intended to see they are preparing people to consider cancelling the gym they likely never planned to go to and workout.

"Historically we quarantine the sick, not the healthy."

4
OneBigMaga 4 points ago +4 / -0

If you are forcing healthy people to stay in their houses, it's not quarantine, it's house arrest.

CommiesEatBugs 8 points ago +8 / -0

Lefties have an extremely hard time differentiating the idea of choosing not to do something themselves, and prohibiting anyone else from being to do it. That's the irony of the screaming "FASHIISSSS!!!!" all the time. They want literally every aspect of human existence controlled by an authoritarian global governmemt.

Read Saul Alinsky or L Ron Hubbard and you'll understand. It's a tactic.

A healthy and happy lifestyle is the greatest prophylactic against mental illness. No wonder liberals want us to stay away from gyms.

Pick up an exhaustive hobby like smithing. You'll get a hell of a workout, and have a cool ass weapon or tool at the end.

Haha "What if you're not ready to return?" Then stay the hell home. All of you. Can't leave the house without a mask? Stay home. Too many people at a beach? Not for you. Stay home. The rest of us will enjoy our freedoms even more without you.

It's the Amazon Post. The doorknob-lickers that read that shit really DO worry about this.

3
slrpnls 3 points ago +3 / -0

The Jihadi Post (aka Al Jazeera) which owns what's left of Gawker has been wall to wall fear porn. People there are afraid to do anything. I say cut off their unemployment and let 'em starve to death.

grab the soy in your fridge, take a big fistful, throw it at your wife's boyfriend and then sit on your failures and cry.

2
Grady_Wilson 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is pure propaganda masquerading as news.

There is zero news content in this story.

2
Belleoffreedom 2 points ago +2 / -0

The gyms already have good personal distancing, at least among people who are working out by themselves. Most people are already trained to keep the equipment clean. Towel service might come back into fashion, which would be great.

Coronavirus does not like steam heat. So, a quick trip to the sauna on the way out is the perfect end for a workout, not to mention cheap insurance.

1
ColbyP 1 point ago +1 / -0

Do you think they don't lie awake at night hoping to be told what to do next? Leftists don't understand free choice; they wait for some washed up celebrity to tweet them their next instructions.

1
remember1776 1 point ago +1 / -0

Of course. They're always on the lookout for things to get triggered by. Gotta maintain a certain threshold of triggeredness.

1
NonyaDB 1 point ago +1 / -0

And - as always - do not go to the gym if you have somehow, in any way, angered a Clinton.

1
OneBigMaga 1 point ago +1 / -0

I've been working out from home for the past 5 years. I have a decent home gyme with squat stand, weight bench with leg extension and cable system along with the amazing Ironmaster adjustable dumbbels. I honestly don't care if gyms are closed or open, I can still work out either way.

(To be honest, most of my gear is ironmaster and it's all amazing)

1

Its crazy how much people are completely dependant on other people to make decisions for them. Like the whole concept of the headline is retarded. Its time for lunch, but what if you arnt hungry? There is a new movie out, but what if you dont want to see it? Its summertime, but what if you dont like going to the beach?
