I haven’t seen the video but it sounds like it was pretty clearly police brutality. So cops were fired, an investigation is going to happen and then you would expect officers to stand trial. What other form of justice is there? What would be an acceptable way of handling this situation for these “protestors”?

They don't want justice, they want revenge. They want to lynch the cops in the street. The entire left and black Americans that feed on race-bait and 'institutional racism' can't be satisfied, ever. They are eternal victims, it is their identity.
If these cops got the death penalty it wouldn't be enough for them. Don't negotiate with terrorists.
In all fairness, after watching the video, I would be fine with that cop getting the death penalty.
With the LA riots in the 90s the public at least waited for the police to be acquitted. They waited for the justice system and then felt that it failed them. I personally don’t agree with rioting because more innocent people wind up getting hurt, but I can at least understand it when you believe the justice system has failed you. In the last decade or so the media/public doesn’t even wait for the justice system. The anticipated response is rioting. This is very dangerous.
I even understand it to a point. They already believe the system is going to fail and justice will not be served. Can we blame them? Most of us feel the same way as well. Justice HAS failed countless numbers of times in the past century. I'm hoping that justice in this case does prevail and that dude is put behind bars for the rest of his life. I think that would go a long way in starting to repair a broken justice system and divided nation.
I'm not defending the police by any means in this case. I'm just sick of the media trying to incite a race war in this country. A thousand black men kill a thousand black men and nobody cares. All the black on white violence, doesn't get covered. But the media shovels coal into the fire in these cases on purpose.
The cop with the knee on the neck wasn’t wasn’t made dude die. Looks bad, but not the culprit.
What are you basing that on?
He was alive when they reached the hospital. It will be shown he had a heart attack or OD’d from bath salts or some shit.
I will say, the weight on his back is far more likely to have added to his condition of labored breathing than the back of the neck. Also, he was speaking which means he was breathing and was able to move his head up and turn it side to side. The knee on the neck didn’t cut his breathing.
When he asked for water, it became an indicator that he was dehydrated and spent from a combo of resisting arrest, being hemmed up and whatever drugs he was on. I’m positive if he hadn’t gotten jacked up and committed a felony, he’d be alive today.
I'm going to respectfully disagree with your assessment even with the assumption that he was on drugs and dehydrated. Many people are transferred via ambulance while receiving CPR, and they declare them upon arrival to the hospital.
The guy clearly stopped breathing and lost consciousness in the video to the point that the onlookers were asking him to check his pulse. The man himself complained of not being able to breathe before he went limp, and the officer still kept pressure on his neck for an extended period of time. No excuse.
I think we’re saying a similar thing. Being subdued and not noticing the medical episode led to death.
The knee on the neck was totally unnecessary, but that by itself won’t kill a man. What we saw was cardiac arrest made worse by the cop pressing on his back. The knee to the neck was insult to injury.
When I watched the video, I couldn’t believe they didn’t notice dude was having a true medical episode, drug related or otherwise. I was also struck by how long it took the cop putting on cuffs to get that job done.
It is physically impossible not to notice. They were explicitly told so, over and over again.
And yes, there are weak people who cannot handle that kind of physical stress without dying - even without drugs. They heard the guy say he couldn't breathe, they didn't listen to him or bystanders, kept pressing long after he stopped breathing, and now he's dead.
They dont want justice they just want to riot and loot
You would expect people to rise up against the government for trampling their rights, but BLM and Antifa rise up to make you think that the actions of these bad cops were warranted.
