Hopefully this riot was a wake up call to any sleeping democrats in the state. A big mistake I think a lot of people on the right make is that all democrats are cliche hyper leftist pink haired woke activist types, when a lot of them are just regular Americans who arent into online politics at all. They still think the dems are this Norman Rockwell like working man champions of Americana and are just ignorant of whats going on in the world. All you have to do is expose these people to what the truth really is and at the very least they will go independent and abandon the Democrat party

Don’t count on it.

I live in Missouri just outside St. Louis so I’m familiar with these “peaceful protests.” In the 2017 Stockley riots, they busted windows and did a lot of damage in the Delmar Loop.

The white liberals who owned businesses in that area were practically falling over themselves to get on the news and virtue signal about how woke they were and while they disagreed with the “actions” of the protestors they could “feel” their pain. The St. Louis metro went even FURTHER left in the 2018 midterms and will handily give a majority of their votes to Biden in November.

Add-on: MN may narrowly vote Trump but the Twin cities will be heavily Dem, guaranteed.

I dont really have hope for the urban centrals of each state, but the more rural parts of the state. I know first hand that a lot of the Trayvon Martin stuff and rioting made some democrats I know irl drop their whole daily show shtick. Like they still hate Bush era republicans, but they see current democrats as the more important problem to focus on. Politics is won by reaching out to others, especially those who feel alienated from their own party. I can guarantee you there are a bunch of people in Minnesota today having somre really uncomfortable questions about their ideas.
