I dont really have hope for the urban centrals of each state, but the more rural parts of the state. I know first hand that a lot of the Trayvon Martin stuff and rioting made some democrats I know irl drop their whole daily show shtick. Like they still hate Bush era republicans, but they see current democrats as the more important problem to focus on. Politics is won by reaching out to others, especially those who feel alienated from their own party. I can guarantee you there are a bunch of people in Minnesota today having somre really uncomfortable questions about their ideas.
