For a city like Tokyo to have fewer than 6000 covid cases is pretty remarkable

Based. Almost no immigration. Maintains cultural identity. Uses common sense during the outbreak.

Btw almost 40% of the first cases in Tokyo is from the tiny red light district of Kabukichou.

Which I think is a showcase of how the spread is way less potent than any "model" except that in the West, big city degenerates with their multiple sex partners and "open relationships" caused the whole epidemic to flare up worse the HIV in the 80s. And NY gay community not only NOT get the basic memo on COVID, they couldn't even stop lick each other's poop as late as end of March 2020 (https://nypost.com/2020/03/24/nyc-declares-war-on-rim-jobs-in-graphic-health-department-memo/).

See other even denser cities like Seoul or Hong Kong, and see how based Taiwan that closed their border away from China at first signs of trouble practically saved the nation.

They wear masks when they have the sniffles. It's a culture thing and it's not even close to being everyone.

Masks don't do shit.

The masks don't help with this virus. It is smaller than the holes in the mask. That's why the N95 masks were reserved for health care workers, those masks DO keep that virus out.

And not fat. Sorry to say it, but obesity has played an important role in this crisis

Japanese definitely have homeless. In Osaka Castle Park and Ueno Park they used to have massive tarp towns of homeless. They build little apartments of wood under the bridges in Kyoto.

Admittedly part of it is just japanese culture, very respectful, bowing instead of handshakes or cheek kisses like the europeans.

But most of it is because this stuff wasn't nearly as dangerous as it was made to seem. Also fuck china

Considering the population of a city like Tokyo there is no excuses for big cites like NY and London.

The people at work in Tokyo have done an amazing job. Japan was one of the first countries outside China to get cases. Amazing work by their leaders.

Absolutely agree. Inept mayors / governors have dramatically increased the effects of COVID
