holy shit that blows my mind on two levels. first, i was completely unaware of Lankford's life before politics or his religious beliefs at all.. that was just a totally lucky characterization but the REALLY crazy part is I fucking went to Falls Creek during that time period. I was 16 years old and I was not a fan at all. I had a feeling it wouldn't be for me so I volunteered to drive up there and take some of the other kids bc the church van wasn't big enough. it ended up being too weird, I was straight peer pressured into "getting saved" at the nightly worship meeting and then the following night, during our "before bed bible study" i was pulled aside and lectured about how it doesnt seem like i'm in tune with God right now. Well, no shit. That'd be why i wasn't too keen on going in front of a thousand people to get "saved".

Anyways, next morning I told the other kids that rode with me if they wanted to ride with me they better be in the car in 20 minutes cuz im out. there were fucking hot chicks everywhere but it was still a fucking very bad experience for me. fuck falls creek.
