feel like there's other examples of that. but here's the thing. individual mods of different subs probably can't be held legally liable like that. I mean maybe it's possible but they didntt work for the site.

I don't agree with that, per se. Then the admins could claim ignorance for just about anything and say "we were just letting the mods do their jobs, we don't get involved unless reports come in."
