There's an issue to recognize and firmly confront.

Some people are arguing logically.

Other people absolutely are not , they are making emotional appeals that connect to lingering "things I should care about" threads dripped all over people.

When you're dealing with someone emoted into their position, it's quite difficult to logic them out. Ever. From the deepest layers of kool-aid to the soccer moms and soytoys - one has to choose to actually consider facts and data. "Going with the main story" is just flat easier. You see it all the time. "Oh, that's Faux News" and other 'shoot the messenger' insta-dismissals.

"Emotional thinkers", aka "Snowflakes" are a lot easier to form into ... mobs. Mobs that play follow-the-leader and do things that seem odd from all outside analysis.

If you have someone that will honestly consider facts - facts good.

When you have someone who won't - that's where emoting them out is the idea. Memes can skip past that initial auto-dismissal and be part of it if they're aimed at getting a key point across.

I can't quite visualize how to make this data into a solid meme, but it would be truly worthy.
