How many cops across America are watching these riots and now feel like assholes today after having spend the past 2 months harassing and arresting peaceful, law abiding citizens who just wanted the right to go back to work and live their lives?

Edicts are not laws. Laws are enacted by the legislature or developed by the courts. The purpose of the executive is to implement, not create, law. Just because an elected official days something does not make it a law. Otherwise this is just a monarchy.
