I hate this argument. Unless you’re directly involved or witnessed an incident within your own department, you have no recourse against them. I could work in the next precinct over from a terrible incident, or in large departments on the same shift, and not be involved in whatever bad action was taken.

Did I let the bad thing happen? How can I testify to an event I was not present for?
