I think the real reason behind it is they want to stifle the part "THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Flloyd", that's really powerful, they can't skew that and turn it around on him to be RAYYYCIS, and it drives home a significant point that the rioters are usually just unruly criminal POS's. I think that's the part that really bothered them.
