Nobody wants it to get to that point. In case you haven't noticed, this has spread to other cities. Americans who are defending their property/businesses are being arrested while the rioters get to make their own rules and continue unchecked. If you want to just allow the rioters to do whatever they want, wherever they want, whenever they want, then sit back and do nothing while local politicians allow it to continue.
