I hope you're right but they have had three years to do something, including when they controlled congress, and did nothing but allow tech lobbyists to run roughshod over them. At this point as far as big tech facing any real consequences for their naked partisanship: "I'll believe it when I see it".
Of course, blurryface, by reciting that list, you're proceeding on the premise those trolls and shills are here to actually learn something and become productive and constructive contributors here.
They have no desire for such. They are here simply for agitprop.
I checked my Kindle...I actually got started on The Art of the Deal a few months ago. Got sidetracked by many other things and projects. I think I will start over and finish it this time.
I also found I have a companion book to the Laws of Power: Greene's Laws of Human Nature. I think I will bump it up on the priority list.
I am all about understanding strategy, particularly the opposing side's basic playbook.
It is so easy for me to see, it is maddening sometimes when I see so many (particularly professed patriots) just don't see it, and fall for the same baited traps over and again.
I've never seen them go to unhinged before though, they are just saying fuck it if i am gonna do this might as well go as hard as humanly possibly before trump hands me my ass on a plate
That’s what I think too. Twitter is going ballistic because the writing is one the wall, they’re going all out for MAXIMUM DAMAGE before POTUS fucks them up their commie ass.
The White House officially started gathering complaints from the public in 2019. It's hard to do anything when so many GOP Senators and Congressman are bought and paid off by Big Tech. You have to make it clear cut to them that Twitter has crossed the line. They have now. That's why you aren't seeing too much whining about censorship from the worthless GOP to this executive order.
They needed to bait social media, in this case Twitter, into an indefensible position. That takes time.
They needed to get the courts (and political landscape) in order to prevent the legal process from being railroaded. That also takes time.
Think of it this way, a Hollywood movie can easily take three years of planning before the shooting starts. This is much bigger and more complicated than a movie.
Feels more like that Twitter investors will step in, oust Jack and key members of the leadership team. Money talks and bullshit walks.
That action will likely end up fracturing the internal culture at Twitter, the Twitter experience (whatever that actually is) will suffer and users will migrate elsewhere and the company itself will implode.
Happy that the President, FCC, DOJ, etc will help speed this demise along, but I suspect that the above is more likely.
Trump made a comment yesterday about what he can legally do and I think he's referring to the fact that seizing Twitter would be a 100% legal move, whether it looks bad or not. That's not a banana republic, that's just using the tools you have at your disposal
Right and that is the risk of being an investor/holder. I don't know anyone who would invest in Twitter, personally. I'm not arguing for "nationalizing" Twitter but I think that if they lose their section 230 immunity they will definitely face legal and financial issues, including the possibility of seized assets.
From an ideological standpoint an investment in Twitter is quite different from an investment in bitcoin. I think it depends a lot on one's worldview and how they think technology will trend.
To paraphrase another comment I made: I just want to shake these GOP politicians and scream DO SOMETHING! They've had YEARS to get something done, and nothing. Apparently Trump had something Twitter related drafted since early 2019 and only NOW felt they have crossed the line? Now, with just a few months to the election? With everything else they've allowed and disallowed? Plus, his EO doesn't have a lot of teeth.
I've seen endless posts over the years about something finally happening about all sorts of things, so while I would love to see social media put in its place, forgive me if I'm skeptical.
On the one hand I'd hate to see a private company nationalized because I'm not a communist and don't think it's the government's job. On the other, watching Jack be hauled off to federal prison would make my day...
This is why they started out by calling him a fascist. We've been in a "National Emgency" since 1979. They were just slowly boiling us. President Trump getting elected threw a wrench in all that. He was given dictorial power and they knew it causing them to REEE like no one's ever REEE'd before. Ever since they have been in complete panic and have been figuratelively, but now literally, trying to burn the place down.
I can almost guarantee that there will not be any seizure of Twitter this year, especially in an election year, and probably never.
What realistically will happen, are lawsuits and fines. I don’t think Twitter even profitable so good luck them being able to pay all those legal fees and fines.

It’s the shills and influx of losers who were sure to come here after TD blew up so quickly.
This site will be under full fledged attack from every angle going forward, use that Deport button early and often on suspected shills!
It is under attack right now, the site is slow as hell and very laggy.
I know I thought we left those people on reddit

That is all.
I know. I have you upvoted.
I have read the Art of War twice. Trump's book is still on deck in my Kindle. (I have lots of books on the current read list)
The Laws of Power...I have not yet obtained a copy. I'll check into it!

Stuff happens.
"It's not happening fast enough for me to accept that it's happening!"

Lots of stretches here. My opinion.

We're already in a banana republic dude.
Sad, but not wrong. What makes it so is the other half of the population that are bananas.

I’d love to see that happen
Plz pass the bong
Depends on their crimes, wouldn't it?

As the saying goes, "From your lips to God's ears."
Fucking LARP trash. That's not how any of those mechanisms work. I think you literally managed to get every line of your fan fiction wrong.
,
To be fair, Twitter already IS nothing but a propaganda device. A very large portion of its "users" are bots.
Might be the most delusional "non-Q" post i've ever seen. Hell, you might've been better off acting like this was a msg from Q
Check the retard's post history before you give him too much credit.

He's a Qtard that just sanitizes the Qshit outta his posts.

I like your fan-fiction.
Man this would be so fucking awesome😀😀

Nothing will happen stop getting excited. I'm so tired of the useless GOP and the useless Bureaucrats.
I don't think it will play out like this. But I loved your post and it is a daring analysis, so accept my upvote!
I’ll believe it When I see it.
Just allow the floodgates of lawsuits to commence and don't stop until Twitter looks like a Minneapolis Target.
Lmao please sticky this, Mods, just to get more people retweeting what Mr.Cruz is talking about.
If we took down twitter, it would be pretty funny to see the lefties scramble to myspace in droves
Quarantine twitter
Sounds an awful lot like government overreach and a communistic action to me.
"We don't like what are you doing with your company, we will now assume control and "sell" it to someone who we can control."
No thanks. Don't want my government doing that, no matter who is leading the charge.
Antifa has no fascists to be against. So little by little they create their own enemy.
you go against the government they have 6 ways from sunday of getting back at you!

Sounds a little conspiratorial, but fuck I hope you're right!
Off with their heads!!!
WOW!
