That’s what I told my wife. He nuanced it so as to cause Twitter fools to overreact.

It wasn't even nuanced. It was obvious what he meant imo. This was just another case of TDS sufferers taking everything Trump says in the worst way possible.

Yeah I think it shines light on why censorship is so insideous... When others decide how you should be interpreted (rather than your own intention) and regard their own wicked perception as fact, that's scary.

19
mathteach314159 19 points ago +20 / -1

It made me interpret it that way so god damn it was effective. That being said, I figured shooting could mean anywhere from tear gas and rubber bullets to actual firearms if it were necessary to stop the violent mob that is looting and burning down Minneapolis, destroying the communities they care so much about lol

12
alfredbester 12 points ago +12 / -0

I just spent a year and a half building a business that I haven't been able to open because of the virus bullshit. If someone tried to loot this place I would shoot them in a heartbeat.

Looters should be shot.

5
powershellder 5 points ago +5 / -0

I took it to mean don’t loot if you don’t want escalation.

9
supermagafragilistic 9 points ago +9 / -0

And suddenly the whole purpose of their censorship shows itself. Twitter, instead of showcasing the Presidents words much like a giant billboard in space, are now curating his words, like a painting in a museum. His words are supposed to speak for themselves, instead now you have a tour guide in the museum explaining to you what you're about to see before you see it. By the time you see it, you have preconceived notions and you don't even know what he said yet. "Next on our tour, the President threatens to shoot looters", the curtain flings back and there's the tweet, the idea that the President threatened to shoot looters still ringing in your ears as you read it. It's bullshit, and it's exactly what he was talking about the other day during his EO, and it's what T_D has been saying for years.

20
MW23232 20 points ago +20 / -0

I agree. They specialize in pretzel logic. I believe their think tanks stay up at night or operate in shifts, trying to think of a "logical-sounding" way, to their followers anyway, to twist every single think the President or his followers say, to say it means something other than what it means. Like HRC's tweet today. The National Guard is brought in to stop the rioting & looting, before they destroy the city for no good reason. She says the President is "calling for violence against American citizens". And what would she do? The Left NEVER, EVER has a suggestion to help any situation, just criticism.

He's saying action a has a consequence of B. Every action has a reaction. Which is why you want to deploy the national guard, especially when people are so angry at the police.

I would hope that most people here realize that Floyd died by his own hands by now... He swallowed some kind of drugs that he had on him at the time so the cops wouldn't find it. He died 90 minutes after that video was filmed. Even if the cop didn't have his knee on his neck, he would've died.

Thought you guys were smart and cared about the truth, guess not... fine, be outraged for no reason like the retards on the left.

9
Nonocon 9 points ago +10 / -1

You are welcome. This part is my opinion, I also don't think the officer put that much pressure on his neck. If you look at the video, the officer looks like he is putting most, if not all, of the pressure on his right knee. The knee not on his neck.

5
WhitePowerRanger 5 points ago +6 / -1

I agree with you. As always, it’s important to wait for the info the come out. This is not looking good for Floyd.

4

Thanks. It says he likely died from a combination of health problems, drugs, and the cops on top of him. They didn't choke him but they could have cut off blood circulation to his head. And he stopped moving and they couldn't find a pulse but yet they stayed on top of him for 2 or 3 more minutes. The cops still fucked up.

I’m going to remain centrist and not cast judgment until all the details are out. The dude could have killed himself with drugs, or one of the cops drugged him.

Either way, unless there is a video footage of him overdosing willingly, it’s all conjecture. We don’t know what happened in that precinct. Yet.

1
ADAM_SCHITT 1 point ago +2 / -1

The combined effects of Mr. Floyd being restrained by the police, his underlying health conditions and any potential intoxicants in his system likely contributed to his death.

He wasn't being choked (that was obvious from the video) but kneeling on the neck could have cut off blood flow to his head. And why didn't they get off him after he stopped moving and breathing?

0
deleted 0 points ago +1 / -1
1
ADAM_SCHITT 1 point ago +1 / -0

And they also shouldn't have killed him.

7
culpfiction 7 points ago +8 / -1

Your links do not show he swallowed drugs to hide it from the police. The examiner's initial finding say potentially intoxicating substances but do not prove he was under the influence of anything.

Additionally the other officer was concerned about asphyxiation and they found no pulse two minutes before relieving the knee from his neck.

If you have other corroborating information please share.

2
Nonocon 2 points ago +4 / -2

This was the complaint from the family against him, of course it wouldn't include that. This is just the most official thing I could find, I'll look and see if I can find anything else though.

2
krzyzowiec 2 points ago +2 / -0

Aha sorry have to update you now. Autopsy’s been done, and the preliminary report is out.

Neither strangulation nor asphyxiation caused his death. He may have been intoxicated, but the full report is not out yet.

2
gabwinone 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thank you for the info and the link. This will be explosive...if the final autopsy report actually exonerates the cop!

4
Rusty_Shackleford 4 points ago +4 / -0

The document you linked to says that "any potential intoxicants in his system" may have contributed to his death. It does not say they found intoxicants in his system. Why aren't they specific about what they found? It should be easy to determine whether he had anything in his blood or not.

Also, it doesn't say he died 90 minutes later. It says they checked his pulse on the scene when he stopped moving and "couldn't find one." It also says he was "pronounced dead" at the hospital they took him to, not that he died there.

4
Nonocon 4 points ago +4 / -0

The toxicology report hasn't been released and I'm honestly not sure if it ever will be released. The city is clearly on the side of the family. As for why it doesn't say, this is the official complaint against the officer from the family.

"Police called EMTs around 8:30 p.m. and they arrived in six minutes to find an unconscious and unresponsive Floyd, according to Hennepin County Healthcare EMS Chief Marty Scheerer. Paramedics and police eventually flipped Floyd over while he was still cuffed, placed him on a gurney and into an ambulance, where a responder released his hands. Their decision to “load and go,” rather than triage Floyd on the spot, was likely based on their race against time, Scheerer said, adding that responders were likely unaware of how severe the situation had become. Despite medical officials reportedly spending an hour trying to revive Floyd, he was pronounced dead at a local hospital at 9:25 p.m."

Oh yeah, I've seen it a lot. I can't even comprehend the degree of hubris which convinces people that they're better qualified to interpret someone else's words than the person who actually said them. It's really a mind-boggling level of narcissism. It's even more worrisome that social media publishers are taking consequential action against people based on someone else's analysis of their own language. It doesn't matter what you meant, if somebody else finds it offensive then their opinion is given a higher status - so much so that you can actually be punished for motives you never really had - and that is a truly disturbing collapse of free speech.

It can be from other citizens, police or even guardsmen. I wanted people not to put themselves in that situation. That's all I have to say."

9
Tonightm01 9 points ago +10 / -1

The riots are being planned and supported by the far left.

Nothing to do with anyones death at the end of the day. The far left just wants to cause chaos. It's already known many of the people rioting in the area are not from there.

They have bused in Antifa terrorists.

4

I wouldn't expect this to end anytime soon. They want to show black people being shot by military personnel. And also, they'll lie about and twist anything he says. I agree that concision would help him to a great degree. Say less, do more. The liars are funded with billions, they have access to millions of minds. Trump has a lot of Twitter followers, but it isn't always as effective as the liar media at getting a message out.

He needs to be influencing leaders, building up the next generation and let people like Grennell and Fitton kick ass and take names.

Drug warrant being served ended up with a lady shot to death with no explanation for why her house was targeted, why she was shot...

So people took to the streets. But then someone had a beef with someone else, so he had to start shooting.

Really great way to take an issue, shit on it and prevent the root cause from being fixed as everyone focuses on the violent aftermath.

Anyone who needs his tweets interpreted is a fucking retard.

incogneato 5 points ago +5 / -0

That was how I took it from the start: "Y'all fools keep lootin', the business owners gonna start shootin'."

And/or the looters will start shooting each other over stealing the best shit.

I never took it to mean he was going to send in troops to shoot the looters.

(if he was, he wouldn't announce it anyway)

They’ll never understand just how many steps behind POTUS they really are at any given time

MLGS 4 points ago +4 / -0

The enemy thought he meant he was going to deploy the National Guard to massacre protesters because that's what they would do in his position. Always remember that they're projecting on a level so pathological that the word "projecting" doesn't even begin to cover it.

1
gabwinone 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well put. We often say "projecting" ....but it is, indeed, pathological in nature.

2
MLGS 2 points ago +2 / -0

I keep trying to come up with a better word for it than projection but I don't think there is one.

I stand with our President Donald J. Trump.

I’m so pissed I can hardly breathe. This afternoon our Chicago governor Fat Fuck was fed a question by a gushing media troglodyte about how he felt the President was handling the Minnesota happenings, like that has jack shit to do with what he’s doing to Illinois, but anyway. He proceeded to call the president every label like misogynist racist xenophobic, all wrong and unfair. And he just could hardly speak he was so disgusted by how badly President Trump is handling it and I just wanted to throw a brick at the TV. He doesn’t care about anybody but his Chicago Democrat friends.

That's a quote from Walter Headley, the Miami police chief back in '67 during the Miami riots.

Looting leads to shooting, and that’s why a man was shot and killed in Minneapolis on Wednesday night - or look at what just happened in Louisville with 7 people shot. I don’t want this to happen, and that’s what the expression put out last night means....

In Trump's case it's entirely credible that he meant exactly this, and didn't realize the statement connecting looting with shooting originated as a threat from law enforcement to prevent Miami race riots in the 60s

It's also entirely credible that he meant both exactly this and the original meaning simultaneously, as he often (intentionally and with great precision and unmatched skill) communicates on multiple levels at once

sagebrushfire 3 points ago +3 / -0

IDGAF how he meant it and frankly, if he meant it as “looters/criminals will be killed,” more power to him. Tired of how weak this country has become. I watched as a cucked, bitch ass mayor told his police force to run away and allow the station to be destroyed. I saw as police with nightsticks stood around doing NOTHING with said sticks. It doesn’t take a person to study crisis situations to see the fucking difference between a person marching and holding a sign in protest to a person with a bandana on their face, smashing open a Target cash register. Wild animals that attack or are out of control should be put down, period. Fuck em and fuck how fucking weak the people in this country have become.

Buh buh buh buh, Hillary and the celebrities said that he was telling the national guard to kill innocent protesters!

2
Sunnybats2 2 points ago +2 / -0

Twitter ignored my explanation when they suspended my nice guy real name account for BS

2
MAGAnic316 2 points ago +2 / -0

The fact that he has to even explain such a logical concept is a testament to both the media's slimy duplicity, as well as how effectively the establishment has dumbed everyone down over the last few decades. "No child left behind" my ass 🤦‍♂️

2
ladypatriot_games 2 points ago +2 / -0

CNN right now in full scale TDS with what essentially is a special on why Trump is racist and how his “looting” tweet indicates he intends to send the military to kill people. Wtf.

2
Tardigrade 2 points ago +2 / -0

As opposed to "sure, go ahead and loot and there will be no consequences!" Cant please anyone I tell ya.

2
Diotima 2 points ago +2 / -0

The fact Trump has to explain himself is sad because it was obvious from the get-go. Did the media think he meant if they looted we need to begin shooting them off? Bizarre.

1
MsQleo 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes the media did believe that. So do lefties. They are mentally deranged.

2

2

2
mathteach314159 2 points ago +2 / -0

And with those Tweets, he showed the world that Twitter was about to get fucked. If you have money tied up in them and you haven’t pulled out yet, I would.

2
Ham_Sandwich77 2 points ago +2 / -0

When he said "when the looting starts, the shooting starts" I immediately thought of the looters that had already been shot. He's right. That literally happened.
