I live in Virginia. The rule of law here is dead. Governor Northam's sole whim is now the law. His mask mandate has gone into effect, and Virginians are already going at each other's throats. Businesses are already putting up signs that say "no mask, no service," and they will not serve you even if you have a medical condition that exempts you from the order. People are being bullied by their own neighbors for not covering their faces.

A Reopen group in my county was planning a non-mask-compliant event at a business in town today. The organizer had to cancel the event because the owner was being bullied by many of his own customers who have become fear-crazed.

It's become clear that this was the governor's plan all along. No need to send the police to arrest us when we'll be clawed to death by our own neighbors while the health department shuts non-compliant businesses down.

It was such a diabolical move, and I am convinced now that Ralph Northam is a genuinely evil, genuinely malicious man. He can't stop the economy from reopening. He can't arrest everybody. But he can turn us on each other. This order was issued right as Virginia began reopening, and now it makes perfect sense. Of course they won't have any effect on preventing spread of the virus three months into the pandemic. That was never the plan.

The plan was simply to plunge Virginia into chaos. "Comply, or lose your business." People are simply too scared to lose their business now that the state economy is reopening. It would appear we are completely at the mercy of this governor.

I don't know what to do. I'm so sad and tired. I just want to go about my own life in peace.
