I meant "few" rather than "two". Since January, not counting May, there have been over 12 million background checks. Each check is at least one gun, but you can include multiple guns per transaction. I know that my average is around 1.3 per background check.
The last two months have seen at least 15 million firearms purchases. You are not alone in your assessment.
