I thought DJT declared all houses of worship as "essential?"

Technically, the people have all the power. Or at least while the people still have guns.

Fuck the 2A at this point. Elected and appointed "officials" keep ignoring basic laws and principles while moving the goalposts to fit their own political agendas. They no longer represent the people -- they only represent those who have dirt on them.

The 2A (or any Constitutional Rights for that matter) means nothing to them so long as We The People allow it to continue.

The point is that he doesn't have that power. No one does, because no one has the power to declare them nonessential or to close them, thereby requiring him to overrule them. Period.

And SCOTUS defended the Governor's right to declare whatever he wanted like a royal decree?

Here's the thing. Let people make up their own minds and I bet most observe physical distance, wear masks in an environment like this, stop adding to the total number in attendance when it's reached a reasonable limit, and hold service outside when it's feasible.

Try to MAKE people do all that? You're looking for a fight.

Freedom is a simple concept. SCOTUS is never supposed to side with tyranny. Officials, whether elected or not, are supposed to know better than to pick fights. And historically the biggest rebels in the US have always been Church goers. Out of the 1500 lawsuits already filed against local and State governments, I wonder how many of those are filed by Churches?

The president has weapons in his arsenal, and even more if we flip the house.

Yeah I'm just wondering how this standoff gets resolved. It's a classic: two co-equal branches. I don't see why SCOTUS took it after POTUS said Churches are essential. Even if the case was already on the docket they could've dropped it and moved on. Seems to me like there's no case left after POTUS drops his hammer.
