Second, and more seriously, I would assume that it's harder to justify forcing that when you have secret service, FBI and National Guard (not sure how that works in DC) at your disposal.
The DC police should have stepped in because it's their town, so I'm glad Trump called them out, but I somt think this was anywhere near the point where GEOTUS should be forcing them. If he had to, I'm not sure how that would work though.
