It’s coming. The Insurrection Act of 1807, amended in 2007, gives POTUS the right to deploy US regular troops to regain order.
It states
“ Under this act, the President may also deploy troops as a police force during a natural disaster, epidemic, serious public health emergency, terrorist attack, or other condition, when the President determines that the authorities of the state are incapable of maintaining public order”
The bill also modified Sec. 334 of the Insurrection Act, giving the President authority to order the dispersal of either insurgents or "those obstructing the enforcement of the laws."
Here's the problem that people here don't seem to understand, it's politically expedient for trump to let blue cities burn themselves down then go "see this is the racial tension you get when you vote democrat" and pin this all on them.
He may deploy some MP's to Minnesota for example, but most of the states will be on their own unless this gets as bad.
